I Bet You Don't Know This About Those Other Web Companies

Hello and thanks for stopping by!

I hate to speak negatively about other companies in my city but I want to give you a little education. If you have spent any time shopping the web companies, you’ve probably read many of the same lines:

“We’re customer-centered”
“No two projects are alike”
“We treat you as an individual”
“We’re affordable”

This company that I’m speaking of has all the same lines on their web site. I kept reading and found the inner pages that had a price list and a long list of their “customer friendly” rules. Their affordable prices for a web site.? Between $1,500 and $6,000! I've looked at more web hosting companies than I care to admit and they all say the same thing. In my early days, I contracted some of these companies and all of them provided adequate service....unless I needed something from them. As somebody just starting out, I needed more help than I thought.

"My personal favorite customer-friendly policy? Their “exemplary” customer service that only last for 30 days. Are you kidding me?"

In your research, have you noticed that you can find plenty of sales jargon about building the site and hosting the site but very little about maintaining the site? There’s a reason for that. They want you to buy the site and not bother them anymore or like those old inkjet printers, they want to build your site for an affordable price ($1,500, as if that’s affordable) and then charge you an hourly wage for something that takes 10 minutes.

This company says that they will gladly change a phone number on your site for free but beyond that, they want $75 per hour! So every time you want new content on your site, those other companies are going to charge you $75 for what doesn’t take them much longer than changing a phone number!

Try this…make a list of what you will need from them after they make your site. Will you need documents placed on the site? Images? Blogs? Do you want advice on how to market the site? Will they give you cards that you can put on your counter advertising your site? How much will all of this cost?

"So every time you want new content on your site, those other companies are going to charge you $75 for what doesn’t take them much longer than changing a phone number!"

Paying a few thousand dollars for a web site. is appropriate for some businesses but not for most. My father in law is a farmer who has hundreds of acres of land. He has tractors that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. I have less than one quarter of an acre at my house. A lawnmower is more than enough. Think of your web site. in the same way. The needs of a large company are different than a local business.
Your web site. is just another employee. If it can’t make you money, you don’t need it.

Now that I’ve told you all of my problems with web companies, let me tell you why ECS exists. We are a small company that serves small companies. I have developers on my staff that can make the high priced sites with the bells and whistles but we rarely do that. It’s not where our passion lies.

I want to design your site for $199 and I want to host it on our servers for $10 per month. I’ll design it first and then you can decide if you like it enough to pay for it. I want you to e-mail me with any questions you have and I want to show you how to make money with your site.  Your site is going to be set up with an interface that allows you to change your information quickly and easily. We’re going to train you so you know exactly how to do it. For things you can’t do on your own, we’ll either do it for free if it’s quick for us or we’re going to charge you a reasonable rate. None of this $75 per hour to do a 15 minute job. Of course, your project might need some customized pricing. Just e-mail me and we’ll get it figured out.

My employees have families to support and web servers aren’t cheap so we can’t do everything for free but we don’t have high priced offices, company cars, or million dollar advertising campaigns. We put our money in to our customers and our advertising is the extraordinary customer service we provide.

We’re confident that when you’re satisfied, you’ll do our advertising for us.

I’m not going to talk to you about “customer friendly.” My company is going to show you customer friendly.  You aren’t going to find 50 different e-mail addresses that will confuse you. You will find mine in most places because it’s my company and I don’t want you talking to some outsourced person overseas who doesn’t care if your problem is solved or not. If we don’t show you extraordinary customer service, we’re going to give you a refund. It’s that simple.

For a little bit over $300 for the first year and $120 for the next year, you can get a complete web site. and all the advice you need. Thousands of dollars for a web presence is just plain silly and the way those high priced web companies will treat you more like you serve them rather than acting as partners in your success. It won’t happen here. We're partners in your success and if something isn't working, we'll change it!

E-mail me today and let’s get started!

Take care!
